Whether you have been blessed with perfect skin from birth or you are one of us that has to work at it a bit harder, there is always a bit of room for improvement, even if you can’t see it. Did you know that your skin is your largest organ? Anyway, fun facts aside, here are some simple ways you can get your glow going:
1. Have a solid skincare routine that includes cleansing, toning and moisturizing twice a day. 2. Fat, lots of fat. Yes that’s right. Forget almost everything people have told you about fat. Some of them you can even find at your grocery store, like kale, spinach, berries, artichokes, ginger, turmeric, lemons and so much more! These goodies are filled with skin-loving vitamins like A & C to keep your skin young! If you don’t already enjoy these wonders, try picking up a new fruit or vegetable every time you go grocery shopping. Try to eat a rainbow of colored fruits and vegetables for beautiful skin!
4. Exotic superfoods! These babies are jam-packed full of nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants and healthy fats, even more so than our normal local superfoods. They come from all over the world and grow in some pretty tough to find places, so we can’t get them fresh, but always look for them: organic or pesticide-free, raw or freeze-dried and non-gmo. Super foods have come a long way in the past few years and are being regularly farmed.
