Blackheads have plagued woman’s face for years. Many of us have suffered from blackheads since high school and if you’re reading this then I am assuming you are long tern suffer too or one of those girls with naturally beautiful skin here to mock us. Oh, how we despise you. For those of us not so lucky follow these simple steps to remove and prevent black heads.

Now just in case you skipped out on your middle school health class here is what a blackhead is. A blackhead is pore in your skin that has been clogged by excessive oil from make-up, face creams, your hair and just naturally skin oil. Zits forum when blackheads are left to fester upon your face. When individuals pick or squeeze blackheads they often become irritated and turn into zits. This is why it is important that you do not pick at the blackheads on your face (“Blackheads”).

Getting Rid of Blackheads, Removing them for Good!

Instead follow this three step removal guide. Wash your face and exfoliate well with a good, high quality facial wash that contains witch hazel and/or apple cider vinegar. Facial cleanser that contains witch hazel helps to open up your pores and exfoliate your skin better which exposes the blackheads for easy extraction. Afterwards, steam you’re face in order to make the blackheads softer (“Blackheads”).  The best method is to pick up a facial steamer like, The Conair Facial Steamer and Sauna, for around $35 bucks (“Conair”). However, a cheaper way to do this is to fill a sink with hot water, drape a towel of your head and allow the steam to rise. The problem with this method is that the water goes cold quickly. After you have steamed your face take a blackhead extractor tool and use it remove the black heads (“Blackheads”). I recommended the Tweezerman Blackhead Extractor for about $10.  You will be amazed at all the gunk that comes out (“Tweezerman”).

Now that you know how to remove these trolls follow these rules to keep them away.

Exfoliate 1 to 3 times a week, but no more than that because you will dry out your skin. Drying out your skin may seem like a good idea, but it actually causes your body to produce more oil which creates more blackheads and zits. Afterwards rinse with cold water to close your pores back up. Use Non-Comedogenic products that are water-based instead of oil-based. Also toner helps close pores to keep icky foreign bodies. The last thing is try to keep your beautiful, but oily hair out of your face. Do use a facial mask about once a week (“Prevent”).

Once you know the correct way to get rid of blackheads and zits you will find that getting rid of them is breeze. By following the simple prevention guide above once there gone, you can keep them away or at least slow them.
