Natural Remedies for Puffy Eyes
Lack of sleep, too much alcohol the night before, bad food choices and allergies can all result in the dreaded puffy eyes. You want to treat your eyes with serious care as the skin around your eyes is thin and delicate. It is always a bummer to wake up to but combat those bags with these natural remedies :
Puff No More Eye Pack Home Remedy
1 small sprig fresh rosemary
1/3 cup boiling water
1 tsp ground almonds
1 tbsp egg white
Place rosemary in a pitcher or bowl and pour on boiling water. Cover and leave to cool. Remove the rosemary sprig and strain.
Place the ground almonds in a bowl. Mix in the egg white and 2 tbsp of the rosemary infusion.
Dab the mixture under your eyes. Lie down and relax for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.
Massage the area with almond oil as the egg white can be drying.
Natural Chamomile Compress
Pour 1/2 pt (1/4l) of boiling milk (of any variety I use coconut) into a bowl containing a heaped teaspoonful of chamomile and let it steep for half a minute before straining it. Let the milk cool until it is hand-hot, than soak a clean linen cloth in it and lay the cloth over your closed eyes for 15 – 20 minutes.
Tea Bag Eye Tamer
Tannins in regular tea have a anti-inflammatory effect. Place boiling water over two black or orange pekoe tea bags. Let tea bags cool and chill in the refrigerator. Squeeze out excess water and place them over eyes for about 15 minutes.

Tapping the orbital bone around the eye sharply with the middle finger, moving along the bone to circle the eye, can help drain the fluid from the area which causes puffiness.
