Fat Burning FoodsA big part of being and feeling beautiful is being at a weight you feel comfortable and confident.  You don’t have to look like runway model and be a size zero but you want to be able to slip into your skinny jeans and feel good.  I am going to share with you some foods that actually help burn fat!

Food That Burn Fat

Foods that are rich in calcium like dark leafy greens, broccoli, sesame seeds, chia seeds, quinoa, oranges and beans.  Did you know that eating these types of foods have been scientifically proven to increase the breakdown of fat cells.  By just eating 3 servings of calcium-rich foods a day will help you lose that belly fat!

Believe or not, nuts!!  Now don’t get to nutty but by having a handful of raw nuts, which are rich in protein and healthy fats will actually keep you feeling full and eating less.  Nuts increase your body’s leptin levels, which increases your body’s ability to burn fat.

Make sure you are getting enough protein-rich foods!

Is there enough fiber in your diet?  Foods that are fiber-full actually stabilize your blood sugar levels, suppress your appetite, boost digestion and banish fat!

An apple a day keeps the fat away.  Apples have  a lot of pectin, this is thought to keep your body’s cells from absorbing as much fat.  Pectin also helps increase water absorption from the food you eat that can actually help break up fatty deposits like cellulite.

Fat can actually help get rid of fat.  Huh??  Essential fatty acids are key to burning fat.  What are essential fatty acids, find out now!

Keep it hot, chilies or cayenne pepper have a property in them called capsicum that increases your metabolism.   They help your body burn calories after you eat, bring on the peppers!

Of course, dark leafy greens, what can’t they do.  They help lower your blood sugar levels, which causes your body to release less insulin and this, helps your body to store less fat.

Last but not least water!  Keep your cells hydrated and happy for a revved up metabolism!   If you feel hunger and you just ate, try drinking a glass of water it will keep you feeling full.

The key to healthy body weight, of course, is exercise and a well balanced diet.   Who doesn’t need some fat burning food boost once in a while, though!
